There has been a growing understanding these days that disease is not only a matter of body encountering physical problems, but disease is also a problem of intangible things like emotion. Emotion actually has a great part in putting our health in good balance. This is not only true for emotion derived diseases like depression or other psychosomatic symptoms, but this is mostly true for almost every disease, also for cancer.
A study conducted by researchers in John Hopkins University in Washington D.C. found out that cancer cells can grow rapidly in bad emotions. The study said that cancer cells grow tremendously in an acidic environment. Anger, hatred, unforgiving, and other bad emotions actually set up human body in this kind of acidic environment. Thus, keeping up those negative feeling actually put cancer patients in danger of cancer cell's growth. This is also true for non cancer patients; because in reality every person has cancer cells, but to be called as patient means that your body has developed enough amounts of detectable cancer cells. Anyhow, negative feelings can lead a normal person into a state of bad health, be it cancer or other disease.
Long before studies suggest that cancer and emotions might relate to each other, doctors have coined a term called placebo effect. Doctors found out long time ago that when a patient is given only some candies, but being disguised as medicines, and that patient believe that he or she will be cured by that medicine, he or she will show the same result of other patient that is given real medicine. This is what doctors later called as placebo effect: an effect of belief. Placebo effect has indeed shown how good emotion can actually lead someone to health just only by believing it. This is not meant to say that once you keep your mood on positive track then you will survive from cancer, but it suggests that positive emotions is very vital in keeping your health, and also to improve your health.
So, why wasting your time now to feel bad if only by feeling positive you get more benefit? Start feeling happy and be positive about your life and your body. Even if you do not have a good health right now, go out and smile and believe that you will be cured. That along with real medicines and good diet will bring you in that good health in no time.
